Story
Syracuse Herbal Study Group was formed out of the original Utica Herbal Study Group (founded by herbalist Lisa Fazio in the early 2010s) by Lauren Eadline, an herbalist and nurse practitioner who grew up in the Mohawk Valley and moved to the Syracuse Area after meeting her now husband. Finding that there were not opportunities in her new community for affordable, accessible herbal learning or a network of students and practitioners, Syracuse Herbal Study Group was born in 2018.
Syracuse Herbal Study Group is now a large network in its own right, bringing together community members, partnering with the Onondaga Nation and collaborating with many similar-minded groups in the area while offering regular educational opportunities in plant medicine.
